Normally, internet comes into your house by underground cables. Another option is to get it from satellites. Instead, you have a dish that can send signals up into space and receive them again. There are lots of satellites orbiting over us all the time for internet now, so the dish that you have talks to whichever is closest to you at the time. If you have enough of them, you get access to the internet all the time.
