• Question: did you ever think that science was boring but still did it anyway?

      I definetly found some areas and aspects of physics boring and didn’t excite me as much as what I work on now, but its good to have a general understanding of all areas to be able to apply your knowledge to different aspects, even though it might be boring its normally useful at some point later down the line!

      Some areas might be, especially when I first started. Just because something might be boring it doesn’t mean that it isn’t important. The great thing is that you can chose the parts of Science that you find interesting and do that.

    There are bit of science that are really boring. I hated teaching the Haber process as it is a lot of recall but there were often exam questions on that topic so I had to teach it well In my job now, I find it difficult to read through all the legislation around plant health but I just give myself short sections of time and get on with it.
