My favourite thing about working in France is living in a new country and learning a new language. But my favourite part of my job is being able to test systems in real life. I like seeing the big engineering problems and understanding how they work! I love testing them and seeing if they actually work like they should 🙂

My favourite thing about working at my job is how varied it is. Sometimes I’m at my desk researching something new, then I’m in the lab doing some experiments, then I’m talking to my team trying to problem solve something, then I’m presenting my work. It is really exciting to be part of a company that is trying to help mitigate the effects of climate change too.

I love the mix of working outside in nature and also working from home and in the office. I get to make my own diary and book appointments when I want. So, I try to have only few appointments on a Friday so I can get all my admin done then. I have visited some lovely woodlands and orchards as part of my job.

In my work at the Environment Agency, it just feels like everyone works here because they want to make a positive impact on the world around us. So everyone generally believes in the same end goal, and (so far) everyone has been really lovely to work with and it’s just a nice environment to be in.

So my favourite part is definitely the people!
