      My passion for plants started when I realised just how incredible and essential they are. Plants quietly support almost every aspect of life: they feed us, shape our environment, and respond to the world in ways that are far more complex than we often think.

      I also love that plant science can make a real difference. Whether it’s improving crops, protecting the environment, or helping farmers grow food sustainably, every discovery has the potential to help people and the planet. Knowing that my work can contribute to healthier plants and more resilient food systems is what keeps me passionate about this field.

    I have always found them interesting, since I was young. I think it is a miracle that tiny acorns can turn into gigantic oak trees! Without plants, there can be no life on Earth as they provide not only oxygen and food but also habitats and help cool the planet too.
