      1. It’s fascinating learning from rocks, minerals and fossils just how the Earth works.

      2. Geology helps us find and exploit ore deposits and energy sources in order to benefit mankind.

      3. Being a geologist has taken me to many countries where I’ve seen some wonderful sights and met lovely people.

      4. It pays well!
