Hello, that’s a great questions and it depends on where you are in the world. For instance, in the English Channel, because the water is funnelled between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the tide changes can be up to 12 metres! However, in the Baltic Sea, the tide change is very small. It all depends on the influence the moon has on certain bodies of water. The largest tidal shift in the world is 16 m!! It’s located in the Bay of Fundy in Canada and it’s due to a similar reason to the English Channel.
