When a job makes you happy that’s the most important thing. You spend a lot of time at work, so when I was looking forward to returning to the lab I knew Science was for me 🙂

It’s difficult to know if something is right for you until you try. I decided to study science because I was good at it, and not as good as the other subjects. My love for science developed overtime, and I definitely liked being a scientist is industry more than I liked studying science at school.
The good news is that science degrees open many doors, and there’s always room to change your mind and explore other careers.

I knew it was for me because I love learning, and science is a field that is constantly updating itself. I also enjoy being in the lab and collaborating with lots of people, even though some days are harder than others! It is really important you get up in the morning looking forward to your day, which I am lucky to experience everyday!

I enjoyed science in school so carried on doing it through to my A levels and degree. Pursue a subject you enjoy!
