• Question: are they any closer to finding a 'code' for the 'origins' of life. I believe the 'proper parameters' to run as empirical tests would be impossible and also the windows of the 'right conditions are also so small it would be impossible?

We know that it is possible for life to start up – we would not be here to ask the questions if it were not! I suspect that the right conditions are pretty rare, and many things have to happen (or not happen) over a long period of time to sustain life, especially multicellular life. I think we probably will find some form of life within the solar system…but it will be ‘simple’ (read unicellular) and may be difficult to recognise.
