Work History:
When I was 16-18 I worked in a small bookshop in my home town on Saturdays. Once I got to university I worked along side my degree tutoring GCSE and A-level students, this helped me think about whether I wanted to maybe be a teacher or continue with research and chemistry. In my final year of university I was lucky enough to do a year abroad in Singapore where I worked in a lab researching nanoparticles to help with detecting diseases, I decided that this type of research wasn’t for me. Now I work in a chemical prep lab helping to prepare samples – this is a bit different from standard research but I still get to be around lots of cool science!
