      A forensic researcher is normally someone who is carrying out research into forensic science while based at a university as their full time job. Some forensic scientists who carry out forensic investigations may also have some time to work on small research projects. Some companies that sell forensic equipment may also hire researchers to develop new products.
      Because forensic science covers so many different aspects of science there are lots of things that can be the focus of the research depending on the researcher’s area of expertise and interest.
