I think there could be – but very basic and not advanced organisms. When we look for life on other planets (exoplanets) we look for very basic building blocks of life that we have evolved from an example being amino acids – we use telescopes to try and dissect the planets atompheres to see if we can find any traces of these cells. We’ve not found anything yet but there is an equation that tells us the probability of finding ‘aliens’ called the ‘Drake Equation’.
The physics and chemistry and gave us biology here on Earth are governed by rules that are the same everywhere in space. So it is possible that given similar initial conditions elsewhere in space that life might evolve. One place nearby we are looking is the icy moon, Europa, as it is thought that life might exist in the ocean under the ice.
I don’t think there’s any living beings on any of the other bodies in our Solar System, but I like to think that somewhere out there life is possible. I don’t think it would be advanced life like humans or super smart aliens, but maybe micro-organisms or similar. We’re also still searching for signs of past life on Mars (again, something like micro-organisms) as it does meet a lot of the criteria needed to sustain life
