      Hair colour is determined by our DNA! There are two copies of DNA, one you get from your mum and the other from your dad. These are called alleles. These can be dominant, which means only one will display its characteristic (e.g. if a dominant allele was for black hair, but the other was for blonde hair, your hair would be black!) or recessive, which means you need two of the same for it to display 🙂
      Combinations of these inherited from our parents means everyone’s hair is different!
