My absolute favourite thing I ever learned was about electric machines. If you supply it with electricity, it will turn – a motor in an electric car does this. If you turn the machine, it generates electricity – a generator in a wind turbine does this. But they are both the same thing, a motor and a generator are types of electric machine! How cool is that?

I find it really fascinating that the same equations that are used to predict whether a couple will stay married or get a divorced are the same equations that can be used to predict whether two countries will go to war!

That trees communicate with each other! They use fungal filaments underground to share nutrients and use chemicals in the air to warn about dangers like herbivores are eating their neighbours!
