Definitely, if the right kind of job became available in another part of the world I’d be interested. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to several countries as part of my work – I did some of my training in America and in New Zealand and in more recent years I’ve spent time working in southern Africa, in India, Pakistan, Kenya and Ethiopia. I’ve enjoyed working in each country as although the veterinary training is directly useful in many different countries, the local facilities available and the local ways of doing things can vary considerably from one place to another so you’re always learning, which is something which I really enjoy as a scientist.
