PhDs are an opportunity to really specialise in a small area of chemistry and study it, every day, for years. When you find a niche, you follow it! I chose this because I loved chemistry and I wanted to try out research, and a PhD is a set amount of time that I knew I could do something different if I decided it wasn’t for me.
