That’s a very good question! The more and more I learned about science, the more I realised how complex and wonderful the world around me was. Scientific research is basically like doing puzzles all the time, seeing how everything I’ve worked hard to learned over the finally come together to solve real world problems, using my own experience. Doing a PhD felt like using all the different skills I’ve been picking up over the years (even if while doing it, sometimes it feels useless) and applying them. Doing chemistry and chemical biology still feels like magic sometimes!
