Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms. These organisms are so small that we can’t see them with naked eyes and need microscopes to see them.
They include bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoans. Some of them cause disease and some are useful to humans.
It is the study of really small forms of life, like germs, viruses, fungi. They are so small that we usually can’t see them clearly and need to use a microscope to see them (thus, micro-biology). They do so much and are everywhere – which makes them necessary to study and understand.
Microbiology is the study of very small organisms, often ones we need a microscope to see. This includes bacteria, viruses, fungi and archaea.
