      Public transport ferries, much more fun because you can see cities from such different views

      I used to work in the Royal Air Force, and must admit that travelling by fast jet is a very exhilarating experience, and certainly the quickest way to get across the country (or Europe) – although its probably not the most comfortable.

      I enjoy the train, it’s usually comfortable and if you get a scenic route the scenery can be stunning. One of the best train rides I have been on was from Paris heading to the Alps.

      I like aeroplanes, I think they are such a clever invention that have made international travel so much easier.

      A difficult one as I like different types for different reasons:

      Rail – for being able to see things especially on holiday.
      Car – for convenience when going to remote places, or doing a lot of shopping!
      Plane – a great way to travel to get to new places. Plus the general magic of how these things fly.

      I’ve never personally used one for transport, but I’m pretty fascinated by nuclear submarines. The engineering that goes into building one can be more advanced than a space shuttle which is awesome and the thought of travelling deep underwater at such immense pressure I think is pretty cool!
