• Question: what breed is your cat and do they help you with your work

      She’s a tabby cat 🙂 She sleeps all day in my desk drawer. I can hear her snoring while i work.

    I have three cats and each one does a very specific type of thing to help me with my job.

    1st up, there’s Lily. Lily is a brown Persian cat and also my very first cat ever. She helped me a lot during my degree by keeping up her very busy and strenuous role of biscuit maker. Lily makes 10/10 biscuits.

    2nd, there’s Toto. Toto is an orange cat and that says a lot about him already! Toto has a reputation of being a cat who believes he’s a dog. And, of course, there’s a very good reason for this. Toto likes being taken on walks. In fact, Toto likes taking humans for walks. Every day, without fail, Toto has been making sure I get my daily dose of sunshine (because vitamin D is very important for brains!) as well as my cardio. I highly recommend Toto’s personal training services.

    3rd, and finally, we have Pixie. Pixie is a black tuxedo cats with white little feet. Pixie has one job and does that one job very well: sleep. Pixie makes sure I get 8 hours solid per night. 2 more per day if I can fit those in. She’s an excellent reminder of getting enough rest as a busy scientist.

    Together, my cats make the purrfect crew for getting good science done!
