      You don’t have to be a scientist but it helps! And there are lots of astronauts who’s science background isn’t about space, think about biology and medicine and people who know the science about how to grow plants! Fighter jet pilots make good astronauts too, and people who have experience in extreme environments, like people who’ve worked in Antarctica maybe or in the jungle
