• Question: if your career was a food what food would it be

      A very interesting question! My answer would be a chilli plant – the plant itself is kind of green and boring which reflects a lot of the lab work we do which is repetitive and tedious, but then you get the chilli peppers that are spicy and brightly coloured, reflecting all the cool parts of my job like working at NASA, meeting astronauts, and watching rocket launches. Bonus: our research team has grown chilli plants in space before!

      Hmmm…I work with meteorites which I think would be quite crunchy and a bit gritty (I’ve never eaten one, promise!) so maybe Doritos (and a mixed bag, so then you never know which flavour you might get)! My other idea would be a ferrero rocher chocolate, they have the crunchy hazelnut but also I think they look a little bit like meteorites!

      Burger – there are lots of varieties of control systems and you can create them in many ways with different toppings (technology & process methods). There are also rules on what makes a control system a control system just like what makes a burger a burger, but the implementation of those is up to how you like it.
