Question: How do permanent eco-systems actaully work? How can they outlive us and last forever?

It’s not my area of expertise, but I think they survive indefinitely by being self-sustaining – it’s all one big cycle where one organism will make something needed by another organism, and so on until every organism has what it needs. If the cycle is in balance it can continue forever theoretically, although they may not last forever in real life
