      No-one knows for certain, but the evidence certainly indicates that a big meteorite hitting Earth was a key culprit. Ongoing volcanic eruptions on Earth might also have been changing the climate, so it could have been a double-whammy. But we also know now that not all dinosaurs became extinct. Various small, mobile, feathered, theropod dinosaurs under 25kg survived, and they’re still with us – birds!
