• Question: hi David why did you want to do phd in astronomy

      Hi! It wasn’t until right at the end of my undergraduate degree at University that I thought about applying for a PhD. I’d done a couple of really cool projects during my degree (one observing exoplanets, and another looking at a whole galaxy), and when it came to applying to jobs I felt like the things I was looking at were less interesting than what I’d been doing in these projects. So last minute I applied for a PhD in astronomy and luckily got it.
