I have received a few awards for my work in science communication and education. Most recently I won the Royal Society Of Chemistry’s Excellence in Education prize for my work over 20+ years inspiring the next generation of scientists. It was a huge honour to receive this as it was nominated and judged by colleagues. We don’t do science for the awards and accolades, though it is nice to be appreciated ;0)

I won an award for my performance in my final year of uni, but it wasn’t a very big class to win out of! I did get £100 though!

At the end of the first year of my BSc, I won the class prize for “The Most Promising Student”, a £5.00 book token!

I’ve been very lucky to be nominated, and to win prizes around leading outreach initiatives when we showcased our science to the public and also awards around sustainability in science, helping my department become more green and advocating sustainability.
