      I don’t know much about those scientific processes so I can’t comment. Nobel Prizes can’t be awarded after someone has died, and unfortunately Rosalin Franklin did die before this prize was awarded. However, because women’s contributions in male dominated fields would have been less valued back in the 1950s, many people feel that she received far less recognition around that time than she should have (regardless of the Nobel Prize). Thankfully, as attitudes have changed people have made an effort to remember and celebrate her.
