How I use Science in my work:
Science is super important in my work. I use biology to understand how athletes’ bodies change during their pregnancy. I use physics to understand how the forces that help them to move and balance change.

You might be able to see a funny photo of me at the top of my profile! I use equipment called ‘motion capture’. When athletes attend our lab, I stick small reflective circles all over their body. We film the athlete walking using lots of cameras all around the room. The reflective circles allow us to create a 3D stickman of their movements on our computer. Did you know – ‘motion capture’ is also used to make movies and video games! It has been used in Call of Duty, Avatar, and many more.

My Typical Day:
Some days, I work at university. I read some science papers in the morning, I meet some friends for lunch, and then I show students how to use the equipment in the lab in the afternoon. Other days I work from home, where I mostly just do lots of reading and writing!
