• Question: what drove you to become a scientist

      I always really, really enjoyed finding out things about animals. Becoming a zoologist/ecologist seemed like the best way to do that for a living – and here I am!

      At primary school I was always taking things apart and putting them back together to find out how they worked. My teachers in P6 and P7 encouraged this and I realised that I enjoyed exploring how and why questions. That curiosity still drives me today.
