      Yes! The products that my company makes are sent all over the world so I respond to customer’s questions about how to use them in their research. For example, I sometimes recommend what concentration to use or tissues to test the antibodies on that I know will work. In my PhD I also collaborated with scientists all over the world- I went to a conference in Portugal, and I worked with a scientist who sent me some fish samples from Ohio in America. Science is very collaborative and gives you the opportunity to work all over the world and meet lots of different people 🙂

      Yes! I work with lots of scientists in many different countries including Sweden, the US and China. Working with the ocean means that there is a lot of research based globally so it’s important to work with different countries.

      Yes, I get to meet scientists and engineers from all over the world through work (I work for an international company so have co-workers all over the globe – though my current team are all based around the UK) and through the professional networks and events I attend. It’s great to learn about the work others are doing and how they are doing it as it can help the work I do.
