Ooof, I feel that this is more of a theological than a scientific question. Having said that, there are philosophers specialising in science and religion.
But… doesn’t the existence of God require faith/belief, whereas if you have proof, you no longer need that faith?
Science relies on evidence, on proof. It relies on things that can be observed or measured and therefore, can be tested. The existence of God relies on faith and belief. So in short, we cannot scientifically prove that God exists – that does not mean God doesn’t exist.
I agree with Joanna. Nonetheless, theoretical studies of Physics relating to the universe tend to prove a power greater than mankind. If we have to prove the existence of God, then that is not faith anymore!! It is safe to believe that viewing science is a way to understand the works of the divine creator.
