Question: Have you ever experienced the northern lights and why do you want to discover them?

I’ve only seen them really faintly in May 2024 when we had a really big space weather event and they reached down to London! I’d like to go and see them somewhere further north one day. The northern lights are just one effect of space weather – there are much more dangerous ones, like overloading power cables and making electricity grids go down. I’m interested in protecting us from events like this by working out when they will happen so that we can prepare.
