0 Question: why are there dents in the moon Keywords: moon, solar system, space Asked by wear1jete on 18 Sep 2025.
Sandra Raimundo answered on 18 Sep 2025:
The dents in the Moon are called craters, they were caused by smaller rocks hitting the Moon. Most of the craters in the Moon were formed more than a billion years ago when the Solar System was very young
Emily Walls answered on 18 Sep 2025:
Asteroids or smaller rocks hitting the moon cause dents! We have some evidence of this on earth too, like the ones that killed the dinosaurs.
