Asteroids are like the builders rubble pile left after the Solar System was built… Some of these objects are at the edge of the Solar System (like the rubble pile at the top of the garden between houses) and pulled down into in the inner Solar System by slight changes in the pull of gravity. Others are simply planets that didn’t form completely… like objects in the asteroid belt.
How do asteroids appear?
Happy to answer if this is what you would like to know!
Asteroids are formed from the left over rocks and debris (bits of dust) from when the Solar System formed…asteroids are what was left over after all of the planets were formed. Much like how all the gas and dust collided and came together to form the planets, including Earth, asteroids are the left over chunks which didn’t collide with each other even more so never got big enough to become planets!
